Genesis 4:23
Footnote:
196 | Hebrew חבורה chaburah. Strong’s #2250 says this means stripe, blow, wound. But this word is unique and only found seven times. Strongs also notes, "properly bound". It is from the verb root to unite, join, ally. Cf. #2266. This meaning is far removed from the idea of "wound" As a proper feminine noun, it would be rendered "female ally" or participle "she who is allied" |
