Genesis 3:14

And Yahweh elohim is saying toward the Serpent, for you have made this one, he-who-is-accursed128 is אתה-yourself from the whole of the Behemah, and from the whole of the living-one of the Field. Upon the curve of yourself [gachon]129 she is walking,130 and a dust she is eating, all of the days of your living-ones.

Strong’s #1512, גָּחוֹן gachon. This is not the same as belly, womb, stomach, etc. used elsewhere. Appears only twice, here and in Lev. 11:42. Interestingly, this is derived from the same as gichon גִּיחוֹן (#1521) is the name of the river flowing out of Eden in Gen. 2:13. These words are derived from giach גּיחַ (#1518) to gush forth (as water) or gachan to bend, bow down. Cf. Gesenius. The Serpent is said to walk upon his curve…recall Ecc. 1:7 “the Brooks walking toward the Sea”
