Song of Solomon 1:6
The Sons: Pleasant Plantings
Do not gaze at myself, myself who is blackened-blackened3 the Sun she who has caught sight of myself, The sons of the mother of myself were burned glowing hot within myself, they placed myself, she who takes care of the self eternal Vineyards The vineyard of myself, who is my own, I have not taken care of!Footnote:
Sng. 1:6 | שחרחרת (shekharḥoret) black-black. This word exhibits doubling of the root שחר (which means "to be black" or "dark"). This is called reduplication and is said to add intensity.
