Jonah 1:12

Hurl the Small Stone
And he is saying toward themselves, "Lift up myself, and hurl myself toward the Sea, and he is being silent, the Sea, from against yourselves! For myself is he who perceives that it is in regards to myself this Mega Whirlwind is against yourselves!"5

Jon. 1:12

The word בשלי (beshali) is a combination of two parts:

  1. ב- (b-) is the preposition meaning "for" or "in."
  2. שלי (sheli) is the possessive form of the pronoun "של" (shel), meaning "mine" or "belonging to me."

Together, בשלי (beshali) translates as "for my sake" or "for me," expressing something done for the benefit or purpose of the speaker. The form בשלי is used to convey ownership or personal benefit in a particular context.
