Genesis 3:22
Footnote:
146b | Strong's #6434 פֵן pen. Masculine form of pinnah meaning, corner. In the feminine פִנָּה pinnah (#6438) it represented the chief or cornerstone (cf. Isa. 19:13, 28:16) This word was always mistaken for Strong's #6435, פֵן pen, which means lest, removal. So the translation of Genesis 3:22 was forced, and the result was a brutalized, confused reading that made the verse an incomplete thought with an abrupt change to another one in the following verse. |
