And she is conceiving again, and is bearing a builder, for she has said, `For Yahweh has heard that she-who-is-hated is myself, and he is giving to-myself also this one.` And she is calling-out his name News.⁹⁵⁷

Strong’s #8095, Shimon. Hearing, report, news. Simeon is named from the fact that “Yahweh heard” her. The root is shama, to hear (#8085). The derivative noun shema (#8088) means news, report.
