Διὰ τοῦτο Μωσῆς δέδωκεν ὑμῖν τὴν περιτομήν—οὐχ ὅτι ἐκ τοῦ Μωσέως ἐστίν, ἀλλ᾽ ἐκ τῶν πατέρων—καὶ ἐν σαββάτῳ περιτέμνετε ἄνθρωπον.

RBT Hebrew Literal:
Circumcise out from the Foreskin of the Fathers, not Moses
Across the other side to this one, Drawn Out ("Moses") has given to yourselves the Circum-cision79 not that it is from the Drawn Out ("Moses"), but from out of the Fathers, and within the Inner Cessation you are cutting-around [circumcise] a man.
Circum-cision. Cut Around.

Remove the foreskin of the "law". "Drawn out" is the meaning of the name "Moses". Put another way, draw out the sword from its sheath.

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
Moses has given you circumcision; (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and in the sabbath ye circumcise a man.
LITV Translation:
Because of this Moses has given you circumcision; (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers); and on a sabbath, you circumcise a man.
ESV Translation:
Moses gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath.

Strong's NT #4059 περιτέμνω. to cut around. The word "circumcision" is a compound word consisting of the Latin prefix "circum-" and the root "cision." Circum-: This prefix comes from the Latin word "circum," meaning "around" or "about." It indicates a sense of "around" or "about" in relation to the root word. -cision: This suffix comes from the Latin root "cisio," derived from the verb "caedere," meaning "to cut" or "to incise." The suffix "-cision" denotes an action or process of cutting. When combined, "circum-" and "-cision" form the word "circumcision," which literally means "cutting around" or "cutting around the foreskin."
