Footnotes

198

Strong’s #5750, od. Adverb. A repetition, going around, again. This is from the verb ud (#5749), to duplicate, repeat.

199

Seth’s name שת comes from שָׁתָה (Strong’s #8354) meaning to drink, rather than שִׁית (Strong’s #7896) meaning to set or put. , shith.

200

Strong’s #312, acher. The back, one coming behind, hinder. Adjective. Translating this as “another” is an interpretation that seems too close to the sense of “again”. It is stems from the root achar (#309), to remain behind, tarry. See note on Gen. 8:10.
