Strong’s #1995, הֲמ֥וֹן hamon. Noun masculine singular (feminine in Job 31:34) sound, murmur, roar, crowd, Multitude, abundance. The implication is that a multitude or crowd creates such a noise. Occurs only here in the Law but 83 times elsewhere.
