Revelation 10:9

Καὶ ἀπῆλθον πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον, λέγων αὐτῷ δοῦναί μοι τὸ βιβλιδάριον. Καὶ λέγει μοι, Λάβε καὶ κατάφαγε αὐτό· καὶ πικρανεῖ σου τὴν κοιλίαν, ἀλλ᾽ ἐν τῷ στόματί σου ἔσται γλυκὺ ὡς μέλι.

Bitter One vs. Sweet One

And I went away toward the Angel, he who is saying to himself, "Give to myself the little inner scroll." And he is saying to myself, "Take hold, and eat down self, and it will embitter the Belly of yourself but within the Mouth of yourself it will be sweet, just like honey!

Upper and Lower Self

LITV Translation:
And I went away toward the angel, saying to him, Give the little scroll to me. And he said to me, Take and eat it up, and it will make your belly bitter, but it will be sweet as honey in your mouth.

ESV Translation:
So I went to the angel and told him to give me the little scroll. And he said to me, “Take and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.”
