Matthew 8:28

Καὶ ἐλθόντι αὐτῷ εἰς τὸ πέραν εἰς τὴν χώραν τῶν Γεργεσηνῶν, ὑπήντησαν αὐτῷ δύο δαιμονιζόμενοι ἐκ τῶν μνημείων ἐξερχόμενοι, χαλεποὶ λίαν, ὥστε μὴ ἰσχύειν τινὰ παρελθεῖν διὰ τῆς ὁδοῦ ἐκείνης·

And of him who has come of himself into the Other Side, into the Country of the Troops ("Gad-arenes"), two of those who are being fate appointed from out of the Memorials encountered himself, those who are coming out exceedingly difficult/hard-to-deal-with ones, whereas nobody had the strength to pass across through the Road of that one.

Absolom's Memorial/Monument Tomb.
This tomb monument was 20 meters or 66 feet high. The typical style of tombs of prominent people in ancient times were memorial structures erected high.

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
And he having come beyond the country of the Gergesenes, two possessed with evil spirits, coming out of the tombs, met him, very rough, so that not any could pass by that way.

LITV Translation:
And when He had come to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, two demon-possessed ones met Him, coming out of the tombs, very violent, so that no one was able to pass through that way.

ESV Translation:
And when he came to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men met him, coming out of the tombs, so fierce that no one could pass that way.
