Matthew 4:4

Ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπε, Γέγραπται, Οὐκ ἐπ᾽ ἄρτῳ μόνῳ ζήσεται ἄνθρωπος, ἀλλ᾽ ἐπὶ παντὶ ῥήματι ἐκπορευομένῳ διὰ στόματος Θεοῦ.

And the one who has been separated said, "It has been written: Not upon a lone loaf, will the Man live, but rather upon every saying, that which leads out across through a mouth of God."

Not upon a solitary bread loaf, will you live.

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
And he having answered, said, It has been written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word going forth through the mouth of God.

LITV Translation:
But answering, He said, It has been written: "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word going out of the mouth of God." Deut. 8:3

But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
