And immediately, he who ran, one from out of themselves, and he who has taken hold of a sponge, he who has filled up both of poor wine, and he who has set all around a reed-pen/measuring rod, was watering himself.

ἐπότιζεν - to give drink, water, irrigate ground, water cattle

And quickly one of them, having run, and taken a sponge, and filled with vinegar, and put upon a reed, gave him to drink.

And at once, one of them running and taking a sponge, and filling it with "vinegar," put it on a reed and "gave drink to Him." Psa. 69:21
