Chapter 17
Matthew 17:27

RBT Translation:
A Sign from Out of the Mouth of a Sea Monster - Ezekiel 38:4
But in order that we might not scandalize themselves, he who has transported across into a sea, cast a fish-hook, and the one who has climbed up first, a fish, lift up. And he who has opened the Mouth of himself, you will find a four-stater silver coin, he who has taken hold of that one, give to themselves anti of myself and of yourself."A four drachma "silver coin."
"Give to them my opposite and your opposite."
"Give to them my opposite and your opposite."
LITV Translation:
But that we may not offend them, going to the sea, throw in a hook and take the first fish coming up. And opening its mouth, you will find a stater. Taking that, give to them for you and Me.
But that we may not offend them, going to the sea, throw in a hook and take the first fish coming up. And opening its mouth, you will find a stater. Taking that, give to them for you and Me.
ESV Translation:
However, not to give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a hook and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for me and for yourself.”
However, not to give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a hook and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for me and for yourself.”
