Matthew 17:27

Ἵνα δὲ μὴ σκανδαλίσωμεν αὐτούς, πορευθεὶς εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν βάλε ἄγκιστρον, καὶ τὸν ἀναβαίνοντα πρῶτον ἰχθὺν ἆρον· καὶ ἀνοίξας τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ, εὑρήσεις στατῆρα· ἐκεῖνον λαβὼν δὸς αὐτοῖς ἀντὶ ἐμοῦ καὶ σοῦ.

But in order that we might not scandalize themselves, he who has transported across into a sea, cast a fish-hook, and the one who has climbed up first, lift up a fish. And he who has opened the Mouth of himself, you will find a stater coin, he who has taken hold of that one, give to themselves anti of myself and of yourself."

A Stater Coin - the exact amount of the Temple-tax required for two people.

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
But that we should not scandalize them, having gone to the sea, cast a fish hook, and lift up the fish coming up first, and having opened its mouth, thou shalt find a gold coin: having taken that, give to them for me and thee.

LITV Translation:
But that we may not offend them, going to the sea, throw in a hook and take the first fish coming up. And opening its mouth, you will find a stater. Taking that, give to them for you and Me.

ESV Translation:
However, not to give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a hook and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for me and for yourself.”
