Matthew 13:21

οὐκ ἔχει δὲ ῥίζαν ἐν ἑαυτῷ, ἀλλὰ πρόσκαιρός ἐστι· γενομένης δὲ θλίψεως ἢ διωγμοῦ διὰ τὸν λόγον, εὐθὺς σκανδαλίζεται.

Transient, Harassed

And he is not holding a root within himself but rather he is transient, and she who has become from a pressing, or a chase across to the Word, she is straightly scandalized.

LITV Translation:
but has no root in himself, but is temporary, and tribulation, or persecution occurring because of the Word, he is at once offended.

ESV Translation:
yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away.
