Inner Cessation

Strongs #G4521 σάββατον, sabbaton. This form parallels the Hebrew #7677 שבתון shabbaton "complete rest/inner rest/inner cessation", with the paragogic (diminuitive) nun suffix which signifies "inner" as  in the Hebrew ishon "little man in the eye/apple of the eye" (See the study on the Paragogic nun as "inner self")

Sowable Ones

Strongs #G4702. The Greek word "σπορίμων" (sporimōn) is derived from "σπόρος" (sporos), meaning "seed" or "sowing." The word "σπορίμων" itself is not directly attested in ancient texts, but it can be understood in the context of related words and its root.

Breakdown:

  • σπόρος (sporos): Seed, sowing.
  • -ιμων (-imōn): A suffix often used in Greek to form adjectives related to the base noun.

Meaning:

  • σπορίμων (sporimōn): Likely an adjective meaning "related to sowing" or "suitable for sowing."

Usage:

In the context of agriculture or farming, "σπορίμων" would describe land or fields that are suitable for sowing seeds. It can also refer to anything pertaining to the act of sowing.

Example:

  • ἡ σπορίμων γῆ: The sowable earth, i.e., land suitable for planting seeds.
