Καὶ ὃς ἐὰν σκανδαλίσῃ ἕνα τῶν μικρῶν τῶν πιστευόντων εἰς ἐμέ, καλόν ἐστιν αὐτῷ μᾶλλον εἰ περίκειται λίθος μυλικὸς περὶ τὸν τράχηλον αὐτοῦ, καὶ βέβληται εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν.

RBT Translation:
"Your Neck is Like a Tower"
And whosoever should scandalize one the Little Ones of these ones, the ones who are trusting, it is good for himself rather if a millstone of an ass25 is surrounding around the Neck of himself and he has been thrown into the Sea.
LITV Translation:
And whoever causes one of these little ones that believe in Me to offend, it is good for him if rather a millstone be laid about his neck, and he be thrown into the sea.
ESV Translation:
“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

The adjective ὀν-ῐκός, -ή, -όν (derived from ὄνυξ, "onyx") typically means "made of onyx" or "pertaining to onyx." However, in certain contexts, it can also mean "of or for an ass" or "related to an ass." For example, μύλος ὀ. refers to a mill for an ass, where an ass may turn the millstone, and ὀ. κτήνη refers to livestock of or for asses. The suffix -ῐκός denotes a relationship, purpose, or function, and here it implies something associated with or intended for use by an ass.
