30 | Greek ἐκεφαλίωσαν from κεφαλαιόω (literally "to bring under heads" or "to summarize")
Scholars struggled with this word, and so came up a sense- "strike the head" but this is simply not the meaning. Once again, Julia Smith is the only one who translated it honestly in her translation: And again he sent to them another servant; and having stoned the same they treated in a summary manner, and sent away despised. |
