John 15:22

Εἰ μὴ ἦλθον καὶ ἐλάλησα αὐτοῖς, ἁμαρτίαν οὐκ εἶχον· νῦν δὲ πρόφασιν οὐκ ἔχουσι περὶ τῆς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν.

Now There is no Excuse

If I have not come and chirped to themselves, they were not holding a miss. But

now

they are not holding an excuse around to the Miss/Sin of themselves.

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
If I had not come and spoken to them, they had not sin and now they have no pretext for their sin.

LITV Translation:
If I had not come and had not spoken to them, they had no sin. But now they do not have excuse as to their sin.

ESV Translation:
If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.
