Peace I leave to you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be timid.
I leave peace to you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be timid.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Footnotes
104 | The Complete One/Peace The Greek word "εἰρήνη" (eirēnē) Peace, Safe and Sound does not inherently mean complete. Eirēnē" primarily denotes a state of tranquility, harmony, and absence of conflict. It can imply a sense of "joined wholeness" in the context of bringing harmony or resolution. Peace is the city, and she is the "Jerusalem above" the Foundation of Peace. Solomon is the "Shalom" "Complete Man of Peace". The idea of one who build/founds the City of Peace, and then is subsequently borne through her, results in a "complete man of peace." שְׁלַם (Shelam)"To be complete, to be whole". This lends it self to "the complete ones" (שְׁלוֺמִים) as well as safety. Solomon (Shlomoh) is the Complete One, or Man of Peace. The Complete Ones constitute a "joined wholeness" of both the Foundation of Peace, and the Man of Peace. |
