John 12:49

Ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐξ ἐμαυτοῦ οὐκ ἐλάλησα· ἀλλ᾽ ὁ πέμψας με πατήρ, αὐτός μοι ἐντολὴν ἔδωκε, τί εἴπω καὶ τί λαλήσω.

For I, Myself have not chirped from out myself, but the one who has sent myself, a father, himself gave to myself a commandment, what I should speak and what I should chirp.

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
For I spake not of myself; but the Father having sent me, he gave me a command, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50And I know that his command is life eternal: therefore what I speak, as the Father said to me, so I speak.

LITV Translation:
For I did not speak from Myself, but He who sent Me, the Father, He has given Me command, what I should say, and what I should speak.

ESV Translation:
For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak.
