John 11:42

Ἐγὼ δὲ ᾔδειν ὅτι πάντοτέ μου ἀκούεις· ἀλλὰ διὰ τὸν ὄχλον τὸν περιεστῶτα εἶπον, ἵνα πιστεύσωσιν ὅτι σύ με ἀπέστειλας.

And I, Myself saw that you are always listening to myself, but I spoke across to the Multitude, the one who has stood all around, so that they might trust that yourself sent away myself."

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
And I knew that thou always hearest me: but for the crowd standing round I said, that they might believe that thou didst send me.

LITV Translation:
And I know that you always hear Me, but because of the crowd standing around, I said it , that they might believe that You sent Me.

ESV Translation:
I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me.”
