RBT Translation:
Descending like a Bride
And the Favored bore witness, he who speaks that, I have beheld the Spirit climbing down just like a dove from out of heaven, and she remained over himself.55First the dark one, the Raven, then the light, the Dove. Genesis 1:24. The birds return from the time-circuit of the earth to the place from which they came forth.
"But the one above, Foundation of Peace, is free, she who is a mother of ourselves." (Galatians 4:26 RBT)
LITV Translation:
And witnessed, saying, I have seen the Spirit coming down as a dove out of Heaven, and He abode on Him.
And witnessed, saying, I have seen the Spirit coming down as a dove out of Heaven, and He abode on Him.
ESV Translation:
And John bore witness: “I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him.
And John bore witness: “I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him.
Footnotes
55 | The dove is a feminine noun. A picture-riddle of the bride of heaven descending the ladder/stairs. In all likelihood the dove rested on his shoulder… “One is herself, my dove, my complete one, herself to her mother, clean is herself to she-who-bore-her…” Song 6:9 literal Eve, from within himself, presented to himself: remained upon himself as a crown upon his head: "A virtuous woman is a crown to her man..."
