"ta graphomena biblia"

ta graphomena bibliaThe phrase "τὰ γραφόμενα βιβλία" ("ta graphomena biblia") literally translates to "the books being written/drawn". Grapho is the greek root from which the English word "graphic" comes. The participle "γραφόμενα" is the present passive participle of γράφω (to write/draw/scratch/mark/carve out), in the accusative plural neuter form, meaning "being written/drawn" or "written/drawn." This describes the books in the process of being written/drawn, not already written.
