adds not to turn back. Adds with the infinitive to turn back (#7725) from which we get the concept of repentance. Comparing these two phrases reveals to us the work of the Spirit in raising up through increase “Sent Ones” beginning with Jesus at his own baptism. “Sent ones” are those who have had their eyes opened to what they haven’t seen or known before in the Word (Luke 24:25-27, John 9:7). They turn back from the way of Cain and become Seth, builders put in Christ’s own place.
