This one is a writing of the births of red-one. In the hot-one of cutting-out elohim a red-one,²⁰⁵ in a copy of elohim he has made את-him.²⁰⁶

RBT Paraphrase:

Within her, a mirror-image

This one is a writing of the generations of Man ("Adam"). Within the Day, mighty ones has cut out man. Within a mirror-image of mighty ones he has made his eternal self.

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
This the writing of the generations of Adam: in the day God formed Adam, in the likeness of God, he made him.

LITV Translation:
This is the book of the generations of Adam: In the day that God created man. He made him in the likeness of God.

ESV Translation:
This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God.

This is the genealogy of men in the day in which God made Adam; in the image of God he made him:

Hebrew ברא אלהים אדם. There verb is in the infinitive and there are no marks of accusative.

To cut out…he has made. Infinitive + perfect. In other words, predestination. This is the inverse of what we read in Genesis 2:3, “has cut out to make”, perfect + infinitive. Watch these two verses take you in a giant mental circle. From the head we go out, and to the head we go in. Perhaps akin to Nicodemus’ question to Jesus: from the womb we come out, to the womb we go in.
