Genesis 49:10

RBT Translation:

The stick-branch¹³⁶² is not turning aside from Cast, and he-who-inscribes from between his feet-pair, until that he is coming in, Shiloh.¹³⁶³ And to-himself is the obedience of peoples.

LITV Translation:
The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the lawmaker from between his feet, until Shiloh come, and the obedience of the peoples to him.

ESV Translation:
The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until tribute comes to him; and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.

Brenton Septuagint Translation:
A ruler shall not fail from Judah, Nor a prince from his loins, Until there come the things stored up for him; And he is the expectation of nations.

Strong’s #7462, shebet. Rod, stick. It is the mark of authority and rule; from a root meaning to branch off. It is used to represent tribes. This is the counter-part to the matteh, the staff, which is symbolic of support, traveling, shepherding and is also used to represent tribes.

From Him and To Him?

Strong’s #7886. Shilo. He whom is to him. Scholars say it is probably to be spelled שִׁיל֔וֹ. The original spelling is שילה which is a word that has to do with quietness. The letter שִׁ is sometimes used as a relative pronoun prefix attached to verbs. That in combination with the suffix לוֹ would mean whom-is-to-him.
