Weary's Not-Eternal Children
And he is placing the self eternal Maid-slaves, and the self eternal Children of themselves as the first one, and self eternal Weary and the Children of herself as the last ones, and self eternal Ewe and self eternal He Adds, the last ones.
LITV Translation:
And he put the slave-girls and their children first; and Leah and her children behind: and Rachel and Joseph last.
ESV Translation:
And he put the servants with their children in front, then Leah with her children, and Rachel and Joseph last of all.
Brenton Septuagint Translation:
And he put the two handmaids and their children with the first, and Leah and her children behind, and Rachel and Joseph last.

The unquestioned Western concept and direction of time is from right to left and every timeline reflects this. The Hebrew direction of time however is illustrated as the opposite. What is the purpose of Jacob orchestrating the “crossing-over” like this?
