Hebrew כִּתְמ֥וֹל שִׁלְשֽׁוֹם. Kitmol shlishom. Strong’s #8032, shlishom, Third hot-one prior/back/past. “Three” shalosh appears to be compounded with the word “hot-one” yom. Strong’s #8543, timol means yesterday but is very frequently interpreted as abstract senses of time, i.e. formerly, ago. An additional word emesh (#570) is used for last night, see Gen. 19:34. Cf. Gesenius.
