And the men will turn back from thence, and will go forth to Sodom: and Abraham stood yet before the face of Jehovah.

And the men faced around from there and went toward Sodom. And Abraham was still standing before Jehovah.

So the men turned from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the LORD.
Brenton Septuagint Translation:
And the men having departed thence, came to Sodom; and Abraham was still standing before the Lord.

Strong’s #6437, פָנָה panah. To faces-away (i.e. turn away). There is a difference between facing away and turning away in modern English. This word is relevant to the faces and hence the root of the noun פָנִים (#6440) faces.
