Footnotes
642 | Strong’s #3584, kachash. To be untrue, in word (to lie, feign, disown) or deed, to pretend. As in bearing false witness. Deception is implied but it is not the same as that used of the Woman, “the Serpent deceived (#5377) me and I am eating.” Used elsewhere, “Say to elohim, how fearsome your works, in a multitude of your might your adversaries are lying to you.” Ps. 66:3 literal. |
