Genesis 15:13

And he is saying to Raised-Father, `To perceive you are perceiving that an offroader he is becoming, your seed, in an earth not theirs,⁵⁷³ and they have served them, and they have faced⁵⁷⁴ them four hundred of a duplication,

And he is saying to Lifted Up Father, `He perceived, you are perceiving that your seed is an offroad-sojourner in the earth not for themselves, and they have served them, and they have bowed themselves down four hundred fold,

LITV Translation:
And He said to Abram, You must surely know that your seed shall be an alien in a land not theirs; and they shall serve them. And they shall afflict then four hundred years;

ESV Translation:
Then the LORD said to Abram, “Know for certain that your offspring will be sojourners in a land that is not theirs and will be servants there, and they will be afflicted for four hundred years.

Brenton Septuagint Translation:
And it was said to Abram, Thou shalt surely know that thy seed shall be a sojourner in a land not their own, and they shall enslave them, and afflict them, and humble them four hundred years.

The sentences correlate the singular noun seed with the plural them and they because the seed of Father-of-Tumult is not just one builder, but many. This helps us understand what Paul was saying in Galatians 3:16, “The promises were spoken to Father-of-Tumult and to his seed. The Scripture does not say, “and to seeds,” meaning many, but ‘and to your seed,’ meaning One, who is Christ.” That is, Christ himself begins a new lineage of “saviors” who stem from the one seed by abiding in Him/His Word.
