But at that time indeed, those who have not seen God, you were enslaved to those, by Natural Origin, who are not gods.

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
But then truly, not having known God, ye were in a servile condition to them not being gods by nature.

LITV Translation:
But then, indeed, not knowing God, you served as slaves to the ones not by nature being gods.

ESV Translation:
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods.
