Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
To set up these days of Purim in their times, as Mordecai the Jew set up to them, and Esther the queen, and as they set up for their souls and for their seed, the words of fastings and their cry: 32And the saying of Esther set up these words of Purim; and it was written in the book.
LITV Translation:
in order to confirm these days of Purim in their set times, according as Mordecai the Jew and the queen had ordered them, and as they had decreed for themselves, and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and of their cry.
ESV Translation:
that these days of Purim should be observed at their appointed seasons, as Mordecai the Jew and Queen Esther obligated them, and as they had obligated themselves and their offspring, with regard to their fasts and their lamenting.
Brenton Septuagint Translation:
And Mordecai and Esther the queen appointed a fast for themselves privately, even at that time also having formed their plan against their own health.
