And Achish will answer and say to David, I knew that thou art good in mine eyes as a messenger of God: but the chiefs of the rovers said, He shall not go up with us in the war.

And Achish replied and said to David, I know that you are good in my eyes, like an angel of God. But the rulers of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us into battle.
