1 John 4:1

Ἀγαπητοί, μὴ παντὶ πνεύματι πιστεύετε, ἀλλὰ δοκιμάζετε τὰ πνεύματα, εἰ ἐκ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐστιν· ὅτι πολλοὶ ψευδοπροφῆται ἐξεληλύθασιν εἰς τὸν κόσμον.

Beloved ones! Do not trust every spirit, but rather try/examine the Spirits whether it is from out of the God, because false prophets multitudinous have come out into the Order!

LITV Translation:
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world.

ESV Translation:
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
