Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
To the Hebronites, Jerijah the head to the Hebronites for his generations, for his fathers. In the fortieth year to the kingdom of David they were sought and he will find in them strong ones of power in Jazer of Gilead. 32And his brethren, sons of strength, two thousand and seven hundred heads of the fathers, and David the king will appoint them over the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of the Manassites, for every word of God, and the word of the king.
LITV Translation:
Of Hebron: Jerijah the head of the Hebronites, for his generations to his fathers. In the fortieth year of David's reign, they were sought, and were found among them mighty warriors at Jazer of Gilead.
ESV Translation:
Of the Hebronites, Jerijah was chief of the Hebronites of whatever genealogy or fathers’ houses. (In the fortieth year of David’s reign search was made and men of great ability among them were found at Jazer in Gilead.)
Brenton Septuagint Translation:
Of the family of Hebron Jerijah was chief, even of the Hebronites according to their generations, according to their families. In the fortieth year of his reign they were numbered, and there were found mighty men among them in Jazer of Gilead.
